I know that I start a lot of my recipes with ‘this is so quick to make’. but this one really is. You only need 4 ingredients for it and that’s it. As a no. 1 fan of rice this recipe is the bomb. But with the topping of garlic, broccoli and hoisin sauce it’s a perfect dish that I put generously in a bowl after a long day and eat 3 times as I should while watching youtube.
Ps.: For this dish I even made a short video that you can find on my FB page.
For 2 people; 10 minutes; Very simple
Ingredients
Rice (basmati or jasmine)
1 head of broccoli
4 cloves of garlic
1 tablespoon of oil
3-5 tablespoons of hoisin sauce
Instructions
- Cook the rice in double the amount of salted water. Cook for 8 minutes, then cover and set aside.
- Meanwhile chop the broccoli to smaller pieces and steam it (2 minutes) or cook it (1 minute).
- Slice the garlic.
- In a wok heat the oil and add the broccoli. Stir-fry for around 2 minutes. Add the garlic and hoisin sauce. Mix and cook for around 1 minute more. And we’re done.
- Serve the sauce in a bowl over some steaming hot rice.
Wise-ass corner
You can also add some chilli for some extra spice.
Or you can sprinkle some peanuts on top for extra crunch.
